Re-introduction of a Yellow pass for tankers that do not carry petrol. ![]()
We've reintroduced the yellow pass - the inspection requirements are identical as those for a red pass but the ADR leakproofness test certificate will be recognised for three years, not two.
Access to fire extinguishers - in-cab and external. ![]()
We've clarified the accessibility and ease of removal requirements for fire extinguishers from their holders / boxes.
Black oil (fuel oil) trailers. ![]()
For those few locations loading black oil, we've stipulated that tankers equipped for bottom loading and vapour recovery are not suitable for loading black oil.
Ignition / permanently powered running lights. ![]()
We've completed the introduction of the requirement for these lighting systems to be fitted with an emergency means of isolation on ALL new trucks with effect from April 2010.
